Gen Why Media sparked the “Save the Waldorf” campaign, a effort to save an iconic cultural establishment from market-drive displacement in Vancouver.  The campaign attracted 20,000 people to sign a petition delivered to the Mayor of Vancouver; 2000 people sent emails to condo developer Solterra; and we convened a Facebook community of 1,700 (as of January 18th, 2013).

Mayor and council subsequently took steps to stop development and give the site heritage status.
